Nancy Andrews, RDH, BS
Ms. Andrews is a nationally recognized speaker, educational consultant, and author; focusing on disease risks, infection prevention, and ergonomics. She is on the CDA, ADA and OSAP speakers bureau’s. During her 20 years of dental hygiene practice, she was a clinical instructor at University of Southern California School of Dentistry and she administered the California State Board exams. Ms. Andrews has worked with corporations to develop, manage and market new products and educational/training programs. She is an experienced writer of textbook chapters, position papers and journal articles.

Linda Blackiston, RDH, BS
Linda received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Maryland after she had been a business owner for nine years. Her professional background includes corporate pharmaceuticals, where she presented courses on the etiology and management of periodontal diseases, specifically related to the host response mechanism. Linda is currently a Professional Educator for Philips/ Sonicare. She lectures nationally on women’s wellness, pediatric dentistry, oral health for seniors, strategies for oral health, enhancing patience compliance and biofilms. Linda continues to practice dental hygiene part-time in the Baltimore area while presenting courses nationally to dental professionals. Perhaps you saw her on QVC recently representing Sonicare.

Joseph A. Blaes, DDS
Dr. Blaes is well known in the Dental Industry and has created a unique, innovative, insurance-free, fee-for-service general practice in St. Louis, Missouri, that emphasizes preventive, esthetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry. Because of his interest in new and innovative materials and techniques, Dr. Blaes began writing “Pearls for Your Practice” in Dental Economics. The column quickly became a trusted resource for new dental materials and techniques. In October 1996, he was named editor of Dental Economics and is responsible for the new editorial direction of the magazine. His lecture and hands-on programs for dentists and auxiliaries have won rave reviews around the country. In addition to memberships in many professional organizations, Dr. Blaes is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and he currently serves on the board of the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.

Tina Calloway, CDA, DA II
Tina, a Texas native, served in the U.S. Navy in1992 and received her dental assisting training in Marietta, Georgia. Now a North Carolina resident, Tina has worked in dentistry for twelve years and currently serves as President of the Piedmont Dental Assistant Society. She is a member of the North Carolina Dental Assistant Association and the National Dental Assistants Association. An award winning graduate of the Dale Carnegie Organization and an advisory board member of “Contemporary Dental Assistant” Magazine with published articles, she is a member of the Speaking Consulting Network. Tina was a guest lecturer at the Thomas P. Hinman Meeting in Atlanta, the Holiday Dental Conference and UNC School of Dentistry.

Marie George, RDH, MS
Marie George is the Clinical Education Manager for DENTSPLY Professional. Marie has over 20 years of clinical experience, including general, periodontic, and hospital based practice. Prior to joining DENTSPLY in 2004, she held several appointments at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, including Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene, Clinical Research Coordinator for the Department of Periodontics, and CE lecturer for the Department of Continuing Education. Marie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty State College and a Master of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University. .
Mary Govoni, CDA, RDA, RDH, MBA
Mary Govoni is an internationally recognized speaker, author and consultant on clinical efficiency, ergonomics, OSHA compliance, infection control and team communication. Mary is a past president and a life member of the American Dental Assistants Association, a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, a consultant to the American Dental Association Council on Dental Practice, a member of the Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures, the National Speakers Association, the Academy of Dental Management Consultants and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. She is also a columnist for RDH magazine, and is a featured speaker on the ADA CELL seminar series and a clinical consultant for Jameson Management.

Maria Hall, RDA has over 17 years of dental experience. She has assisted doctors in all fields of dentistry and now assists Dr. Todd Ehrlich, an Advanced CEREC Trainer for Patterson Dental. She is an integral part of the CERECOLOGY Advanced CEREC Training Program with Dr. Ehrlich. Her vast knowledge of the CEREC method and clinical experience has allowed her to teach doctors and assistants alike around the country.

Susanne Kuehl, RDH
Susanne Kuehl, RDH joined Tom's of Maine in September 2003 in the newly created position of Professional Advocacy Team Leader. She is responsible for educating health professionals about natural oral care, its relationship to wellness and Tom’s of Maine Natural Care products through management of a team of professional advocates in the field. As a liaison between industry and the oral health professions, she assists in the development of educational and collateral materials that deliver the message about Tom’s of Maine’s values and products to health professionals and the general consumer. A graduate of Westbrook College, Ms. Kuehl has over 25 years of experience as a dental hygienist working in private practice as well as the corporate field. She was a member of the Oral –B Advisory Board for three years serving one as chairperson and was a sales representative for Professional Dental Technologies covering NH and Maine. She is a past president of the New Hampshire Dental Hygiene Association as well as an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and currently serves as Chair of their Corporate Special Interest Group.

Linda Miles, CSP, CMC
Linda Miles, CSP, CMC, of Virginia Beach, VA, is an internationally recognized consultant, speaker and author on dental practice and staff development. Linda is a very successful businesswoman who not only founded a leading INC 500 dental management firm in 1978; she also founded the Speaking Consulting Network in its 11th year. Linda is known as the speaker who instinctively understands and loves to share the business side of practicing dentistry. She's a 25-year member of the National Speakers Association, a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and serves on the board of the Academy of Dental Management Consultants. Lynn Mortilla, RDH
Lynn D. Terracciano-Mortilla, RDH, has spent 18 years working in dentistry. She is a graduate of the dental hygiene program at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. Her studies and work with implants began immediately after her licensure. She has been involved with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists for 12 years and is the Executive Director of their auxiliary section, the ADIA (Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries).
Lynn has focused her work with the ADIA on the world wide implant education delivered via Implant Certification Programs in dental hygiene, practice management, dental assisting and has recently created the Implant Coordinator training Program. She has achieved the designation of fellow in the ADIA, their highest recognition and is on the ICOI Board of Directors.
In addition to being a clinically practicing hygienist, Lynn is a member of the implant preceptorship educational faculty at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Lynn lectures and publishes internationally on dental implants, maintenance concerns and procedures involving dental implants. She is a contributing author to Dental Implants: The Art and Science (Babbash Saunders) and to Contemporary Implant Dentistry 3rd Edition (Misch Mosby).

Rebecca Poling, DDS
Dr. Rebecca Poling, a Board-certified orthodontist, is on the faculty of the University of the Pacific, Art Dugoni School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics, in San Francisco and on the Orthodontic Department faculty of New York University in New York City. She teaches basic orthodontic procedures to orthodontic residents, international dentists, and dental team members. Maria Ryan, DDS, PHd
Dr. Maria Emanuel Ryan, a 1989 Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine graduate, is a Professor in the Department of Oral Biology and Pathology at the School of Dental Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook and a member of the Medical Staff at University Hospital. She also serves as Director of Clinical Research. Dr. Ryan received her specialty training in periodontics at the University of Connecticut Health Center, and her Ph.D in Oral Biology at Stony Brook. Dr. Ryan is actively involved in teaching, practice and research at the School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ryan serves on several scientific, dental and medical advisory boards. In 1996 Dr. Ryan was the recipient of the New Dentist Leadership Award from the Dental Society of the State of New York. In addition she received an achievement award from the American Dental Association in 1997, followed by induction into the Long Island Academy of Odontology in 1999 and the honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon in 2003. Dr. Ryan is a nationally and internationally known speaker and author and has published over 75 original scholarly works. Dr. Ryan’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, private foundations and industrial sources. She holds several U.S. patents based on her work at the University. Dr. Ryan lectures frequently and has appeared on CNN, Americas Health Network, NBC, ABC and NPR to discuss newly emerging therapeutics, the connections between oral and systemic health and the need for early detection of periodontal disease and oral cancer. She has been an invited speaker at the Centers for Disease Control, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and The National Institutes of Health to discuss the role of the dental professional in the provision of optimal overall health care, with a special emphasis on issues specific to the management of diabetes. Dr. Ryan is currently the President of the Stony Brook University Alumni Association. She also serves as a member of The Science Advisory Council at Barnard College, Columbia University where she received her bachelor's degree. Currently, Dr. Ryan resides in Laurel Hollow, New York with her husband Dr. Charles Ryan and their son Peter.

Rhonda R. Savage, DDS
Dr. Savage graduated with a B.S. in Biology, Cum Laude, Seattle University 1985; she then attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry, graduation in 1989 with multiple honors. She was then active duty as a dental officer in the U.S. Navy during Desert Shield/ Desert Storm and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, the National Defense Medal and an Expert Pistol Medal.
Dr. Savage has been in private practice for 16 years, has authored many published peer reviewed articles and has lectured internationally. She is active in organized dentistry and has represented the State of Washington as President of the Washington State Dental Association. Dr. Rhonda Savage is the CEO for Linda L Miles and Associates, an internationally known practice management and consulting business. Dr. Savage is a noted speaker on lectures on practice management, women’s health issues, periodontal disease, communication and marketing, and zoo dentistry.

Victoria Wallace, CDA, RDA
Victoria has been a CDA, RDA, since 1976. Her chair side career has included general dentistry and cosmetic/esthetic dentistry. Victoria lectures nationwide on dental products and procedures. She has a strong interest in tooth whitening and adhesive dentistry.
Since 1996, Victoria has been employed by Ultradent Products, Inc. She currently works with dental schools and residency programs on the West Coast and Nebraska. Victoria is an active member of the ADAA, President of the Nevada Dental Assistants Association and Immediate Past President of her local society. She serves as a Director for the American Dental Assistants Association Foundation. Victoria was the 2007 recipient of the Kay Mosley Distinguished Service Award for her contributions to the ADAA and the ADAAF.
